Kafue Region hunting ground is located on the western boundary of the Kafue National Park and its terrain is characterized by Miombo forests and large dumbos. The prime species of this area are Lion, Leopard, Roan, Defassa, Waterbuck, L. Heartbeest and the biggest Sable’s trophy is found today in Africa. Sandwe Game Management Area situated on the eastern side of the country,near Petauke town 3 hour drive to camp is currently considered the best hunting ground in the Valley. The Luangwa river is the blood line of this magnificent paradise with abundance of Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo as well as Crocodile, Hippo and a vast variety of pains game,such as the indigenous Puku. The Bangweulu and the Kafue flats are a vast swampy area with thousands of hectares of grass lands. These spectacular areas are indigenous to the Kafue Lechwe, Black Lechwe, Oribi, Tsessebe as well as the elusive Sitatunga.
